Partnership & Donor Coordinator

Location

This position is located at our Colorado headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Convey Messenger International’s heart and vision to partners and potential partners
  • Explore innovative giving methods and opportunities to increase donations and partner interaction.
  • Develop, research, and build fundraising initiatives to raise support for Messenger International’s mission to teach, reach, and rescue
  • Oversee partner projects/content and ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Share outreach, projects, blogs, and other stories with partners when applicable to relationship.
  • Minister to and pray with partners on a regular basis
  • Develop content ideas and direction for partner emails, cards, blogs, updates, etc.
  • Research and build marketing plans for donor projects that involve retention/expansion/development.
  • Oversee and coordinate projects including but not limited to: partner emails, partner cards, CD mailers, EOY letters, New Name Program, Giving Statement, Christmas, Messenger Cup, calendars, etc.
  • Facilitate regular creative brainstorming sessions with team
  • Cultivate relationships with and mentor team and interns (if applicable)
  • Answer inbound calls and minister to partners
  • Place daily outbound calls to partners as thank you and prayer follow up
  • Greet/host visitors and guests of the ministry for Gathering or ministry events
  • Manage the data entry and processing of all pledges, gifts, and contributions.
  • Prepare all acknowledgment letters. Ensure the timely mailing of appropriate acknowledgments and tax reporting information.
  • Create and run queries and produce financial, analytical, and statistical reports on development activities on a regular or as-needed basis.
  • Ensure overall data integrity by establishing and enforcing standards for database and donor records, including data entry policies and procedures, tracking, and coding systems.
  • Run financial reports for QuickBooks reconciliation in collaboration with the Finance Team. Assist the Finance Team with annual audit preparation.
  • Oversee database upgrades and recommend changes to improve data management, development processes, and general efficiency.
  • Utilize internal database training resources, update as needed, train staff on database usage, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide support for special campaigns and projects.
  • Stay current on best practices and database updates.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned to support the Engagement and Marketing team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in fundraising administration or database management
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge database (or similar CRM) entry and report generation
  • Ability to manage campaigns/projects; ability to work from spreadsheets and to manage deliverables and timelines (Proficiency in Excel, Word, Dropbox)
  • Good customer service and communication skills; ability to interact with donors, Board members, volunteers, and other constituents in-person, by phone and in writing.
  • Strong administrative and time management skills.
