Ulaanbaatar may be the coldest capital city on earth. Present temperatures are around –22 degrees, yet there is fire in the hearts of the believers here!
Last week saw freezing temperatures and deep snow outside. But in the largest church hall in the country, there was standing room only as over 250 enthusiastic believers packed into the launch meeting for John’s Mongolian-language Breaking Intimidation curriculum. The men and women had come hungry for the Word of God, and they were passionate to receive copies of these brand-new leaders packs. Some had driven for hours to be there. They were not going to miss this unique opportunity!
There are around 100,000 believers scattered across Mongolia’s 604,000 square miles, so midwinter distribution of the leaders packs will take a few weeks. Some boxes packed with curriculums will be transported over 900 miles across snow-swept steppes to inspire, encourage, and teach believers. Consignments are spreading out across the country to even the remotest church or house group.
This project is a milestone in Mongolian church history. We have done something that has never been done before. To put things into perspective, this projects includes:
— The first-ever Mongolian Christian audio book
— The first-ever Mongolian Christian multimedia teaching curriculum
— The largest replication run of DVDs (secular or Christian) ever completed in the country
Additionally, John is now the most distributed author, secular or Christian, in Mongolia (excluding Bibles and government, school, or political publications, etc.). Leaders of every single Christian denomination, stream, and church will receive copies of the resources, representing a total of around 500 churches reached.
The entire Mongolian Breaking Intimidation curriculum has also been loaded to CloudLibrary.org, where we have seen over 460 unique, new users from this remote country in just the last few weeks! The response has been so good that since the launch of the resource on January 13, Cloud Library web traffic from Mongolia has outstripped traffic from every other nation—including the USA, Russia, Vietnam, and the next ten visitor countries combined!
The Mongolian Council of Churches has also communicated word of the resource release to Mongolian churches across the world. Churches in other countries have already been using these resources via downloads from Cloud Library. A group in South Korea wrote to thank us for this new teaching: “We have few books in Mongolian in South Korea but now you have sent us a whole Bible school! God bless you!”
Finally, to further increase distribution, the video teaching sessions have been carefully loaded to YouTube, where Mongolian believers can search for these resources in their own language.
Dear friend, you are a part of impacting the nations for Christ. Thank you for your prayer, support, and encouragement. Together we will inspire a generation of leaders for Him!
